Program Coordinator is responsible for the access, delivery and development of physical activity programming for NeighborHealth’s youth in order to promote and develop a healthy lifestyle
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain quality physical activity offerings sponsored by NeighborHealth’s Let’s Get Movin’ after school program. Including providing support, direction and hands on training to AmeriCorps members site coaches.
- Coordinate and oversee the annual New Balance LGM 5K for Fitness including permitting, sponsorship, registration, volunteers. Develop and deliver 6 week 5k training program for LGM families and community members.
- Develop and implement standardized Sport and Fitness curriculum.
- Train staff and ensure that staff are confident in the delivery of programming to maintain quality and consistency across sites.
- Responsible for the delivery of after school sport and fitness programming including but not limited to: site relations, program schedule and staffing, program delivery and coach supervision, protocol compliance and participant safety.
- Oversee the coordination, content and day to day operations of the NeighborHealth’s summer program. Including the summer programming schedule, permitting, program partners and JR leaders. Actively participate in delivery of summer programming as needed.
- Direct the coordination of field trip opportunities, which promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Ensure proper staffing for outings.
- Develop strong relations and work cooperatively with community organizations to promote the development of increased activity offerings for youth.
- Develop partnerships with youth sport and recreation programs to enhance LGM programming.
- Manage the baseline, midpoint and final testing of program participants. Ensure data entry is timely and accurately. Assist in the evaluation of data. Maintain enrollment and attendance data for inclusion into yearly data tracker for grants.
- Work with LGM management team in program development efforts, which enhance quality and growth.
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree preferred
EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years experience leading physical activity for children
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must maintain a valid MA driver’s license and good driving record
PAY RANGE: $21.51 up to $32.26 based on experience
