We are currently working on an exciting children’s book project and are looking for a talented Graphic Design Specialist intern to bring our vision to life through vibrant and captivating illustrations. This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the publishing world and contribute to a meaningful creative project.

Role Overview:

As a Graphic Design Specialist intern, you will play a key role in developing illustrations that bring our children’s book to life. Working closely with the author and creative team, you will have the creative freedom to craft visually engaging illustrations that resonate with children and enhance the storytelling experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the author to conceptualize and create illustrations aligned with the book’s themes and target audience.

• Design engaging characters, settings, and scenes that enhance the narrative and appeal to children.

• Work on storyboards and drafts to refine the visual flow of the book.

• Ensure illustrations meet publishing and print standards, including resolution, formatting, and color accuracy.

• Revise artwork based on feedback from the creative team to ensure alignment with the project’s vision.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts, or a related field.

• Strong portfolio showcasing illustrative work, preferably including projects designed for children or storytelling purposes.

• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, or other illustration software.

• Creativity and the ability to develop visually engaging and age-appropriate illustrations.

• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

• A passion for storytelling and working on projects aimed at young audiences.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in children’s book illustration or familiarity with visual storytelling techniques.

• Knowledge of print formatting and publishing processes.
