Candidates must be accepted into one of the Graduate Programs here at Lander University prior to beginning the position.
Compensation: Selected candidate will receive a 50% tuition and fee waiver as well as a $3000 stipend per semester. Note that if the GA position does not relate directly to their graduate studies the student will be taxed on the stipend and tuition benefits. Graduate Assistants work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year. Graduate Assistantships may be renewed for one additional year.
This position is a part-time coaching position open to those who are in the process of obtaining in a graduate degree at Lander University. Continuous enrollment with good academic standing in one of Lander University’s graduate programs is a requirement of this position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year university and NCAA playing experience required.
- Valid driver’s license and a clear driving record required.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Coaching expectations and duties:
Assist the Head Men’s Lacrosse coach in all day-to-day activities and operations of an NCAA division II men’s lacrosse program. Duties will include but are not limited to: daily practice attendance and position coaching, recruiting both on and off campus, game and practice planning, opponent scouting and film analysis, various administrative tasks assigned by the coaching staff, academic monitoring, field and equipment maintenance, supervising study hall and team lifts, and any other tasks assigned by the coaching staff or athletic department.
