Merchandising Intern

Position Summary:

As a Merchandising Intern, you will assist in planning, executing, and analyzing email campaigns that drive sales and engagement. You’ll work closely with the Merchandising, Business Intelligence, and Marketing teams to gain hands-on experience in how merchandising strategies are integrated into email marketing. This internship will provide you with an in-depth understanding of direct marketing and e-commerce merchandising, while contributing to the success of the team.

What you’ll do:

Support Campaign Management: Assist in managing triggered, transactional, and targeted email campaigns (e.g., abandon cart, welcome series, re-engagement campaigns).
Content Creation & Coordination: Help create and organize ongoing content for email campaigns, ensuring consistency and alignment with merchandising goals.
Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the Merchandising, Business Intelligence, and Creative teams to execute email marketing strategies. Assist with coordinating efforts between copywriters and designers for creative execution.
Analyze Campaign Performance: Assist in tracking email campaign metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and work with the team to analyze data to improve future campaigns.
Testing & Optimization: Support the execution of A/B testing and assist in optimizing email strategies based on performance results.
Stay Current on Industry Trends: Learn and apply best practices in direct marketing and email marketing, contributing innovative ideas to improve campaign effectiveness.
Additional Responsibilities: Support the team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed, gaining exposure to different facets of merchandising and marketing.

About you:

Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college in Junior or Senior year (At least 18 years of age)
Your degree should be business related (ie., Business Admin., Mgmt., etc.).
Availability to work a hybrid schedule 40 hours/week throughout summer break.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-directed and able to work without supervision
Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
Outstanding multi-tasking abilities
Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
Solid understanding of different marketing techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
