Athletics – Women’s Tennis Graduate Assistant

Candidates must be accepted into one of the Graduate Programs here at Lander University prior to beginning the position.

Compensation: Selected candidate will receive a 50% tuition and fee waiver as well as a $3000 stipend per semester. Note that if the GA position does not relate directly to their graduate studies the student will be taxed on the stipend and tuition benefits. Graduate Assistants work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year. Graduate Assistantships may be renewed for one additional year.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Lander University Women’s Tennis Program is seeking a qualified applicant as a graduate assistant coach. The graduate assistant coach will assist in all aspects of the tennis program at Lander University. College playing experience is required. Knowing how to string is required. This position will report directly to the head women’s tennis coach. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist in recruiting future Bearcats, set up team travel arrangements; assist in the organizing and leading of team practices, team development, and on court conditioning. Additionally, the graduate assistant will travel with and assist in coaching at all tournaments and dual matches, string player rackets, help in alumni engagement and fundraising, and manage the Lander Women’s Tennis Social Media Account.
