Production Internship, Fall 2024 (Based in Washington, DC)

What you get to do:

As part of the Events Team, this internship will work directly with members of the Production and Events staff on various projects. Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assist production team with day-to-day tasks such as production schedules, asset management (physical and digital), database management, vendor communication.
  • Assist with video production process including pre-production, production, and post-production editing
  • Assist as needed in all components of the production, including sound, lighting, camera, editing and post-production.
  • Assist with vendor research and contact for various projects and needs.
  • Assist with building presentations for clients and production/events team communicating the production framework.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of office supplies and event production materials
  • Assist with creative activations brainstorming, and post event reporting
  • Assist with speaker prep, recording, and technical assistance for virtual events
  • Help with venue scouting, walkthroughs, staffing, and other support for in-person events including gathering measurements, pictures and relevant information for the production team and vendor
  • Manage long term and short term research projects
  • Maintenance of clean, organized work areas
  • Assist and support other departments within the organization if needed

Who you are:

  • Experience in Event Production (audio, video, lighting, stage management) and/or Video Production preferred
  • Interest in a career in event production, logistics and/or operations
  • Hospitality, events and/or customer service background
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Experience in Google Docs, Google Slides and, Google Sheets are a must
  • Experience with Zoom and other online conferencing tools
  • Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Well organized with an eye for detail
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time in an efficient manner
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Available to work overtime and weekends

COMPENSATION

This is a paid, part-time internship with the opportunity to pick up more hours outside business hours and on the weekends. $18 per hour.
