RheumaGen is seeking a PR Intern to join our dynamic team. This role is centered around enhancing our brand’s visibility and engaging our community through effective public relations and media outreach.
Responsibilities:
– Media Outreach: Identify and engage with journalists and media outlets to pitch stories about RheumaGen and its groundbreaking gene editing technology.
– Content Creation: Develop press releases, articles, and other compelling content to highlight RheumaGen’s impact on treating autoimmune diseases.
– Publication Management: Manage submissions to newspapers and online platforms to ensure RheumaGen’s innovations are featured prominently.
– Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with media professionals and key influencers within the biotech and healthcare sectors.
– Social Media Management: Post engaging content on LinkedIn to increase RheumaGen’s visibility and engagement.
– Website Updates: Make basic updates to the News & Events section of our website to keep it current and engaging.
Requirements:
– Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a degree program in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Biotechnology, or a related field.
– Demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively, with a strong portfolio of written work.
– Proven experience in media relations or PR, with a knack for securing media coverage.
– Strong interest or experience in biotechnology or healthcare.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering lasting relationships with media and industry influencers.
– Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
