The Sports Anchor/News MMJ position requires live reporting, creative shooting, writing, editing and posting stories. The ideal Sports Anchor/News MMJ will be an independent thinker, self-starter and team player who is ready to work with the news department and be able to communicate effectively with management, staff and our viewers. Must have good writing skills and must be able to work well under strict deadline pressure.

Sports Anchor/News MMJ General Responsibilities:
-Shoot, write and edit sports stories and highlights with an emphasis on covering local sports
– Shoot, write and edit news stories
– Write and post news and sports stories on multiple social media and digital platforms
– Report live from various sporting events
– Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Edius or other video editing programs is a plus
– Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
– Schedule flexibility
– Reporting, writing and shooting abilities for both web and broadcast news content
– Computer literacy, including newsroom computer systems
Sports Anchor/News MMJ Qualifications:
Degree in journalism, broadcasting, communications or related field
Drivers License
